I began my family law practice through helping friends, colleagues and acquaintances who were about to begin the divorce process and were confused and apprehensive about what was happening. From that, came the belief that the dissolution of marriage and domestic partnerships can be accomplished in an atmosphere of respect and dignity, with all sides coming together to create a solution that meets each person’s needs. Mediation and collaboration are two tools that support this system.
I was a litigator in New York City, the surrounding counties and New Jersey before relocating to the North Shore of Chicago in 1997. I practiced extensively in State and Federal court systems, where I represented clients in a variety of areas including medical malpractice, products liability, other personal injury lawsuits, family law, real estate, and other matters. |

While taking time away from the practice of law to raise my children, I was involved in many volunteer activities. These include school related organizations such as the Parent-Teacher Organizations, Boy & Girl Scouts, as well as various other organizations. I have served in various representative capacities including President, Treasurer and Secretary, scout leader and team parent.
I was President of Linden Development Group, LLC, a residential construction company and hold an Illinois Realtor’s License. In 2006 and 2008, I was named to Coldwell Banker’s Sterling Society, in recognition on my placement in the top 25% of realtors in the greater Chicagoland area.
I am admitted to practice law in Illinois, New York and New Jersey. I am a trained mediator, as certified by Northwestern University. I received collaborative law training at the Collaborative Law Institute of Michigan. |
